Activities Conducted by our NGO:
A team of medical and paramedical staff from well-known and reputed hospitals provides medical care relating to dental care, eye related problems, general medicine, gynecological problems, general health checkup and free medical tests are also conducted wherever necessary. Our camp not only offeres free medical advice and counseling but also provides free medicines to the poor and needy.
SST is a Delhi-NCR based volunteer group conducting spot fixes, cleanliness drives and awareness programs in the region. SST volunteers are a team of highly motivated people from different walks of life - ranging from students to working professionals - who want to realize the dream of a clean Delhi and a clean India - Swachh Bharat. We believe that keeping our city and country clean is not only the responsibility of government alone but that of citizens like us too! Hence, we engage in 'Shramdaan' or donation of effort on a weekly/ fortnightly basis.
SST is a Public Charitable Trust Registered with Govt. of NCT of Delhi. SST has earned a reputation for its commitment to the cause of effective treatment of addiction/ alcoholism and awareness generation.
SST centers are comfortable facilities where patients are treated with love, care and concern. The treatment is a blend of the Narcotics Anonymous 12-Steps program and the TC (Therapeutic Community) Program, which have proved to be the most effective recovery programs, adopted by leading rehabilitation centers worldwide. The capacity of the treatment facilities is limited, enabling focused and personal attention for each patient.
SST’s approach is holistic: addressing the physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual areas toward total recovery. It also incorporates traditional Indian elements such as Yoga and meditation.
SST team consists of recovering alcoholics and addicts: those who experienced the pain of addiction and the joys of recovery. This lends an unmatched touch of empathy and identification to the therapy process. The counseling team regularly attends workshops and skill-development programs conducted by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
Our trust helps commence the marriage ceremonies of poor and orphan girls in Delhi & NCR. As in present there are many families of girls who are unable to sustain themselves and don’t have any source of income enough to marry their girls in future. So we on our part help these types of families with some funds so that they can commence their Child’s marriage. We also arrange community marriages where we arrange for mass marriage of poor families.
Road Safety Measures Awareness Workshop conducted by SST is to educate children and their parents about the right road safety practices so as to keep our children safe while they are on roads. The key activities of the workshop includes awareness on road safety measures, training on latest methods of road safety and to prepare safe future drivers by inculcating good habits of road safety and by following the rules of road safety and law of land.
